The mission of The Teen Pregnancy Avoidance Education Program is to work with families and youth to prevent adolescent pregnancy and other risky behaviors through engagement, empowerment, and education.
About the Program
We work with organizations in the New Castle County communities to deliver Teen Pregnancy Avoidance Education programs to middle and high school youth. Our programs are research-based, age-appropriate, easy to teach, and are evaluated. Our programs educate on the optimal health behavior of avoiding nonmarital sexual activity and other risky behaviors, using a Positive Youth Development (PYD) framework as part of risk avoidance strategies.
Typically delivered on-site in 10 one-hour sessions, we send a facilitator to your location to deliver on a schedule that works for you.
Our program has been delivered at:
Boys & Girls Clubs
Police Athletic Leagues
Neighborhood House
Christiana Cultural Arts Center
Wilmington Job Corps
Workforce Development Corp
William Hicks Anderson Community Center
Serviam Girls Academy
Mother African Union Church
Manna Christian Fellowship
This program is delivered for organizations at no cost.
